The Patriot Hockey team took on a very physical Lexington Fusion club. It seemed as if it was going to be a close match before the puck was dropped. The Patriots have never beaten the Fusion in any year of either teams existence.
Sophomore Zach Bunde has had the hot hands for the Patriots this year. He is second on the team in points, right behind the captain, Jason Cliff. Bunde racked up a pair of goals along with J.C. Gaskins who scored two as well. Joe McKenzie was the other scorer in the Patriots 5-1 victory. They outshot the Fusion 36 to 6.
No team seams to be a problem for the Patriots this season. They have thoughts of going to Chicago to play in the Nationals in early April. The team is undefeated and hopes to stay that way for the rest of the season. The next game is next friday night versus their rivals, the Summerville Greenwave, at 8:30.
